The Delta Programme Signal Group monitors relevant developments for the Delta Programme. It advises the Delta Commissioner annually about how to address these developments. Examples include changes in physical and socioeconomic conditions, technological developments, and political and societal preferences. Bringing these developments into the picture makes it clear whether they constitute grounds for amending delta decisions and preferred strategies.

Ongoing development of the Signal Group
The membership of the Signal Group has changed recently. It has expanded to include members from the Social and Cultural Planning Office (SCP) and the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). This is part of the further development of the Signal Group based on the broadening of the knowledge base to include physical and socioeconomic signals. That development was initiated in response to the external evaluation of the Signal Group.
