Safety
Prof. Pieter van Vollenhoven, chair of the Society, Security and Police Foundation (SMVP), opened the conference and talked about the fact that, for him, safety is not only a matter for the government but is rather a shared responsibility of the government, citizens and the business community.

Delta Commissioner Wim Kuijken presented the Delta Viewer during the conference. The Delta Viewer is an interactive program that everyone can use to find the answers to their questions about our delta.
Communication
Erwin van Lambaart (Niehe Media) spoke about methods to garner sympathy and passion for a large project like the Delta Programme among the public at large.
Young people and the Delta Programme
