Connecting many parties in a clearly defined task spanning several decades and ensuring progress.
That is something the Delta Commissioner and the programme director of the Rotterdam Zuid National Programme have in common. Following the "Meta-management in the Delta" symposium, they exchanged experiences. Whereas the Delta Programme focuses on water safety, the freshwater supply and water-robust spatial planning, the spearheads of the Rotterdam Zuid programme are Living, Working and School. Measuring, ascertaining and taking action, i.e., monitoring progress and adapting the strategies accordingly, constitute major building blocks for both programmes. It is worthwhile to continue exchanging practical experiences and to learn from one another.
