“It’s all about the subtle interaction between support and decisiveness,” says Delta Programme Commissioner Wim Kuijken in the book “De weg naar excellent leiderschap” (The Road to Excellent Leadership). The Delta Programme Commissioner was one of the “excellent leaders” interviewed about his leadership style for the book. Today, Mayor Jozias van Aartsen was presented with the first copy of the book at Paagman booksellers in The Hague.
Twelve “excellent leaders” were interviewed for the book. The interviews focused on the things they do differently from other “normal” leaders. Others interviewed for the book include: Renee Jones-Bos (Secretary-General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Francien Francke (Team Leader at Etty Hillesum College) and Tom de Bruijn (Alderman for the municipality of The Hague). The authors of the book are Anja Hilgers and Charlotte Staats.
