Mare de Wit

Mare de Wit joined the staff of the Delta Commissioner in 2025 as Future-Ambassador for Water and Climate Adaptation. Her goal is to clarify and discuss whether today's choices create problems or opportunities for the future. She does this for the Delta Programme as well as for the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and Rijkswaterstaat. Mare previously worked as a future-proof water management advisor at Rijkswaterstaat (since 2020), where she calculated and clarified the consequences of climate change and spatial planning on the water system.
