Saskia van Vuren

Saskia van Vuren is a strategy and knowledge advisor at the Delta Commissioner's staff. She joined the staff on 1 December. Within the staff, Saskia is involved in strategic advice and knowledge management, focusing on the entire (main) water system – coast, rivers, transition areas – and the adjacent regional water systems, including their mutual interactions and social impacts. She brings substantive knowledge and expertise. She is the first point of contact for knowledge institutions, and establishes connections with research programmes that ensure deepening and broadening of knowledge in the field of Delta Management, as well as other major transitions. Among other things, Saskia is involved in the Delta instruments, the updating of the delta scenarios, and the Sea Level Rise Knowledge Programme.

In addition to working for the staff, Saskia combines her work with a job at Rijkswaterstaat.
