Fifth Dutch Delta Congress 2014

6 November 2014 in De Rijtuigenloods in Amersfoort

Delta Congress in Amersfoort

Delta Commissioner Wim Kuijken is organising the Fifth National Delta Congress on Thursday, 6 November 2014. The congress will be held from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. in De Rijtuigenloods event centre in Amersfoort. All stakeholders in the Delta Programme and all interested parties are most welcome to attend. The theme of this “Delta Day” is the five Delta Decisions as set out in the Delta Programme 2015, which has been presented on Prinsjesdag 2014 (the state opening of parliament). The Delta Decisions constitute the framework for the work on our delta in the decades ahead.

Continuous Delta Parade and break-out sessions

A different formula has been chosen for this year’s congress. After the opening by a special guest at 10.00 a.m., at the continuous Delta Parade there will be ample time and opportunity throughout the day for sharing knowledge and experiences in an inspiring and informal manner. The Delta Parade is the presentation of the nine sub-programmes in which the focus is on the Delta Decisions and the preferred strategies. In the morning and the afternoon, an excursion will be arranged. In addition, nine so-called break-out sessions will be held during which the content of the Delta Decisions will be explained in more detail. The break-out sessions will also offer room for discussion. There will also be a few opportunities during the Delta Parade to meet & greet the Delta Commissioner.

Drinks

Don’t forget to note the drinks gathering in your diary. This will begin at 4.00 p.m. and, in a stimulating setting, you will have the opportunity to reflect with other members of the delta community on the initial phase of the Delta programme and exchange views on what the future will bring.
