Delta Commissioner speaks at Flevoland Delta Conference
This year once again a regional Delta Conference was held in Flevoland and the Delta Commissioner was invited to speak there.
In a speech entitled: “The Delta Decisions and What Will Follow After 2014”, the Delta Commissioner spoke in detail about the Delta Decisions involving the IJsselmeer Region, Safety, Freshwater and New Construction & Restructuring and their consequences for Flevoland. Those present included members of the States-Provincial for Flevoland, the municipal executives and councillors of the six municipalities of Flevoland, members of the board of the Zuiderzeeland Water Authority and representatives from civil society organisations.
The conference had an interactive aspect: participants were able to put questions to the Delta Commissioner via iPads that had been handed out.
