Delta Programme Knowledge Festival: from thinking to doing
The theme of this year’s Delta Programme Knowledge Festival is: “from thinking to doing”. Preferred strategies and policy frameworks have been developed for the Delta Programme over the past years. The presentation of the Delta Programme 2015 to the House of Representatives this year on Prinsjesdag (the state opening of parliament in September), marks the start of the phase of further elaboration and implementation. At the Knowledge Festival, participants will take stock of the knowledge and innovations available for this new phase and determine what is needed.
In this new phase, the importance of implementing organisations and companies will increase dramatically. For that reason, the Knowledge Festival presents the projects which are being implemented as well as the existing knowledge and innovation issues and what can be expected from one another. Attention is paid to the innovations developed which have added value for society and provide the business community with work.
The programme of the Delta Programme Knowledge Festival is varied and includes workshops and master classes on Flood Defences, Freshwater, Cities, Building with Nature, Opportunities for Management & Maintenance and the Digital Delta. There is something to suit everyone in breadth and depth and, naturally, there will be dialogue between all parties involved in the Delta Programme.
The organisers expect that the event will be oversubscribed. It is therefore advisable to register as soon as possible. The intention is to have an even distribution of participants from research institutes, the business community, authorities, civil society organisations and investors.
