National Consultative Body on Coastal Issues off to a good start

The meeting was attended by various representatives from the Coastal Community: authorities, knowledge institutes, companies and civil society organisations.

National Consultative Body on Coastal Issues off to a good start

Following the presentation of the Delta Decisions, including the Decision on Sand, on Prinsjesdag (the state opening of Parliament in September), the Coast Steering Group passed on the baton to the National Consultative Body on Coastal Issues during the marker meeting. This body will act as a catalyst for the development of the Dutch coast. To this end, it will bring to life the ideas contained in the Decision on Sand and the National Coastal Vision.

National Consultative Body on Coastal Issues aims to further economic development, spatial quality and innovations along the North Sea coast, including the sandy parts of the South-western Delta and the Wadden area. In addition, it wishes to introduce options for work-based learning. The entire Coastal Community plays a key role in this regard. Represented on the National Consultative Body on Coastal Issues are all the authorities that have jurisdiction along the coast.
