Monique Berendsen

Monique Berendsen joined the staff of the Delta Programme Commissioner in March 2020, as an international liaison officer. She works for the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management in the position of international collaboration consultant; she is responsible for interconnecting and enhancing innovative integrated water strategies at the national, bilateral, European, and multilateral levels. In this capacity, she works for the staff of the Delta Programme Commissioner on a part-time basis. Her previous positions at the Ministry included that of strategist for the Delta Plan on Freshwater Supply; she has also worked on the Water Framework Directive.
